ECOBULK SX
|
|
|
|
1000 litres (275 gallons).
Due to its electrical conductive steel jacket, the SX offers double
security in explosion-endangered operational premises classified as
zone 1 and 2. Also provides optimum protection for UV-sensitive filling
products. UN-certified (UN31HA1/Y) for the transport of liquids to a
maximum density of 1,6. Static stacking load four high and two high for
transport.
Inner container:
Blow-moulded high density polyethylene. On
request SMP (fluorinated), treated to avoid permeation of non-polar
filling goods, at additional cost.
Outer container:
Electrical conductive steel sheet and welded steel grid with identification plate.
Pallet:
Four-way entry steel pallet with steel runners.
Filling opening:
DN 150 with screw cap, on request DN 225.

ECOBULK SX-Ex
|
|
|
|
ECOBULK SX-Ex IBC for use in Flammable Hazard Zones I and II.
The SX-Ex IBC is used in areas where there is a risk of flammable gas or vapour being released into the air. The unit is certified for use in hazard zones 1 & 2 providing the filling goods to be transported fall into explosion categories IIA or IIB.
The SX-Ex provides electrostatic protection via the “SX” metal cladding around the IBC bottle and contains an earthing wire (“Ex”) running from the discharge valve to the pallet. During filling and emptying process the IBC must
be earthed.
Handling of the SX-Ex for dynamic load with density up to 1.5 is 2 units high and density over 1.5 is 1 unit high. For static load, units can be 4 high. The SX-Ex is also available in multilayer technology (SX-Ex-EV) with EVOH permeation and oxygen barrier
Inner container:
Blow-moulded high density polyethylene (HDPE)
Outer container:
Blow-moulded high density polyethylene with additional UV protection for filling goods (optional)
Pallet:
Steel bottom plate. Four-way steel pallet
Filling opening:
DN 150 or 225 with screw cap
Discharge opening:
Earthed integrated butterfly valve DN50 or Earthed screwable butterfly valve DN 80.

Security Layer Technology
The latest security layer technology involves the application of as many as six different layers within the blow molding process of the HDPE (polyethelene) inner bottles for an added safety component to the unit. This technology is particularly relevant for products where permeation, odour release or oxygenation is an issue, such as some foods, wine, solvents and other chemicals.

SCHÜTZ Valve System
ECOBULKs have specially designed valves to ensure safe and precise control when discharging substances of various viscosities. A range of valves ensures that the ideal discharge valve is available.
ECOBULKs are equipped with integrated butterfly valves DN 50. Different types of valves are available on request:
- Butterfly valves DN 50, DN 80, DN 150
- Ball valve DN 50
Butterfly valves are recommended for use with substances that
- Are sticky, clumpy or gummy
- Have a 'degreasing' effect
- Contain solid particles eg dispersion colours.
The best gasket type to use depends on the ECOBULK filling. Seals made of ETFE, fluorinated rubber (FPM) or ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) elastomer modified polypropylene.

SCHÜTZ Ecodrum
|
|
|
|
|
SCHÜTZ DSL supplies the full range of SCHÜTZ ECODRUM’s throughout the Australia and the South East Asia. These plastic drums are available in a 120 litre or 220 litre sizes and have many key features such as:
- Higher stress crack resistance
- Higher chemical resistance
- Increased stacking stability
- Increased safety features ie. upper ring design increases bung protection during transport and handling
- Easier removal of residual contents (<100 ml).
The SCHÜTZ ECODRUMS offer optimum processing for users. Their advancement in performance over comparable models is primarily due to the use of the new multimodal polyethylene Histif 5431Z, by Basell. SCHÜTZ has been in cooperation with Basell to develop this new technology and has been produced by the innovative Advanced Cascade Process Technology. For more information please refer to our ECODRUM brochure.
